Resort keeps singles out

Toby said he was refused accommodation at a nudist resort because he did not have a partner.

The resort manager admitted that they no longer take singles due to a recent change of policy.  They were presently seeking an exemption from the requirements of the Equal Opportunity Act to allow for this.

At conciliation, an apology was offered to Toby. He accepted the apology, and the outcome of conciliation was that the company agreed to remove the term "no singles" from their webpage and brochures. Also, they agreed to accept singles with current membership of the national association, but reserved the right to refuse entry on any other lawful grounds.
