YWCA’s SHE Leads Conference Enters Debate

YWCA of Adelaide is introducing an element of debate in to its third annual SHE Leads Conference addressing the theme: ‘What is Women’s Leadership?’

Presented on the back of two highly acclaimed Conferences designed to inspire young women and provide a forum for successful female leaders to share their wisdom, the 2014 format is a new direction for SHE Leads.

“We want to dig a little deeper in to the meaning of women’s leadership and aspects such as intergenerational and transformational leadership, and ask the questions about what makes women’s leadership unique,” said YWCA of Adelaide Chief Executive Liz Forsyth.

“With more than two hundred future female leaders in the room, we have an impressive opportunity to encourage these young women to explore their own and others’ leadership skills, styles and outcomes.”

Supporting the theme-based event is a new format. Plenary speakers will address women’s leadership from a global, national and local perspective. Included in the Conference will be panel discussions addressing the Future of Women’s Leadership, Challenges We Face Regarding Women’s Leadership and Strategies to Advance Women’s Leadership.

Held on Friday 22 August 2014 South Australia’s only young women’s leadership Conference is the beneficiary of generous corporate sponsorship testament to the growing business and community commitment to investing in women’s leadership.

SHE Leads is supported by Gold Sponsor Flinders University and Silver Sponsor ASC for the third consecutive year; Gold Sponsor InBusiness Magazine for the second year; Silver Sponsor SA Power Networks for the second year; and Venue Sponsor National Wine Centre for the second year.

“Employers are encouraged to support the professional development of their staff by funding their attendance to the SHE Leads Conference,” said Ms Forsyth.

Tickets prices are $110 YWCA Members; $150 Early Bird (until 16 June); $195 General (from 17 June).
