Clubs and associations
Equal opportunity law applies to membership, rights and benefits of clubs and associations.
Clubs for people of a particular age, sex, sexuality, chosen gender, race, ethnic group or disability, are allowed.

Example Jane applied to join a golf club as a full member. She was told that women could only join as associate members. Sue could claim she was discriminated against by the club because of her sex. |
