Equal opportunity law applies to groups or organisations that approve qualifications needed for employment.

Example Sue was an engineering graduate from an overseas university working in Australia but her pay rate did not recognise her qualifications, even though they met Australian standards. Sue could claim she was discriminated against by the relevant assessment organisation because of her nationality. |
