On Monday 19 November 2012, the Don Dunstan Foundation and the Victorian Women’s Trust presented A Switch in Time: restoring respect to Australian politics.

Is bad behaviour in Australian politics threatening our democracy? Sexism, inflammatory journalism and political inaccuracies are taking their toll on ‘having a fair go’. The time has come to take a stand and to restore respect for democratic principles and work for the common good.

Mary Crooks AO, Executive Director of the Victorian Women’s Trust, spoke about her recently published paper, A Switch in Time: restoring respect in Australian politics.
