Do equal opportunity laws apply to casual workers?
Yes casuals are covered. So are contractors, temporary or labour hire staff, staff on probation and volunteers.
I have been bullied at work - can you help?
Only if you have been bullied based on a personal characteristic covered by the Equal Opportunity Act (ie, disability, race, age, sex, sexuality, pregnancy or marital status, sexuality). There are other agencies that may be able to help if the bullying cannot be linked to one of those grounds.
