Victimisation
I want to lodge a complaint of discrimination, but I am worried about losing my job if I do so. Can my employer do this?
Dismissing or treating a person badly for lodging a complaint is victimisation. Under equal opportunity law this is unlawful. You have the right to complain to your employer about discrimination, and also to support others in discrimination complaints, without being victimised.
